Fashion Gets an Upgrade

Innovation within the fashion industry is growing inside Los Angeles. Through forward-thinking initiatives, February 1st will unveil the first vegan fashion show. This announcement should come as no surprise, however, since L.A. was the first city to completely ban the sale and manufacture of fur. The shows come together as Vegan Fashion Week, which will begin February 1st and end February 4th.

The founder and animal rights activist, Emmanuelle Rienda claims she wanted to start the event because she wanted “to ignite conversations and debates within the industry by educating, elevating, and drawing connections between our most important values: our respect for human life, animal rights, and the environment”.

Vegan Fashion week won’t just have designers showcasing their cruelty-free collections on the runway, the even will, also, host a Vegan Lounge where guests are welcome to treat themselves to vegan food, fashion, and beauty treatments.
