“Who Tryn Save Da Ocean”

Way back in August 2018, five time Grammy-nominated songstress, SZA, announced a clothing collaboration between herself and athletic brand, Champion. When she teased a rainbow embroidered sweater from the line, she was announcing that every piece would be benefitting the oceans by being all about sustainability and protecting the environment.

She later posed in a crewneck version of the same piece and shared some more sneak peeks of the line via Instagram Stories: There was a white T-shirt with “Puck Flastic” and little blue seahorse embellishments and ribbed baby tees decorated with a humpback whale.

SZA’s line still hasn’t dropped yet (that Ctrl Fishing Company Instagram remains blank), but the singer-songwriter stepped out in a new piece from the upcoming collection: a colorful windbreaker reminiscent of those ’80s color-blocked jackets that would look right at home in one of Jane Fonda’s workout videos. The pink, purple, and teal zip-up also has the words “Puck Flastic” on it, and SZA paired it with some loose dog-printed pants and bright high-top sneakers.

In the comments section of her posts, it was also revealed that SZA not only plans to sell items that promote awareness towards conservation, but that all the proceeds from these sales will go directly towards organizations that are dedicated to sustainability. The artist responded to a commenter “OK but does the profit go to an organisation dedicated to sustainability?”, to which SZA replied, “100 per cent actually”.

We can’t wait till this collaboration becomes available for sale, we will be buying everything! For now peep SZA wearing a “Puck Flastic” windbreaker from collab below!
